Engines for Emanuel

August 22, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

In light of the recent tragedy at Emanuel AME in Charleston, we are putting together a Georgia Bikers response called Engines for Emanuel. Our goal? We want bikers traveling 300 miles from Atlanta to Charleston to show support and unity for our brothers and sisters at Emanuel AME. But, the ride isn’t only about a visual sign of support and solidarity. We also want to have each participant raise $300. All the funds will go to the Emanuel AME and their continued ministries in the city of Charleston as well as much needed repairs following the terrible shootings.

This is a non-denominational and non-partisan event, but an opportunity to show our support and love for Emanuel AME.

Several local groups and dignitaries are supportive of this event including the Chick-fil-A Moo Cow Bikers, South Fulton Faith Riders, Presiding Elder Emanuel AME Church Norvel Goff, Retired AME Church Bishop Carolyn Tyler Guidry, Pastor Mark Anthony of Trinity Church in Sharpsburg, Pastor Tamarkus T. Cook of Saint Smyrna Baptist Church in Newnan, state senator Donzella James and Fairburn Councilwoman Lydia Glaize.
