Ride for Special Needs

Ride for Special Needs 2016 is a police-escorted ride for motorcycles and classic cars beginning at the Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett located at 660 Davis Road, Lawrenceville, traveling in and around Gwinnett County and ending at the pavilions at Rhodes Jordan Park located at 100 East Crogan Street, Lawrenceville. Registration @ 7am, KSU @ 10:15. This event includes a light breakfast as well as a BBQ lunch, live music, raffles, door prizes and a ride t-shirt. BBQ Lunch provided by Little Barn BBQ of Lawrenceville.
Ride for Special Needs 2016 is proud to co-sponsor the Outdoor Day of Play with Rhodes Jordan Park in conjunction with our ride. This free outdoor play celebration is from 10am – 2pm, also at the pavilions at Rhodes Jordan. Fun activities for kids of all ages and abilities include inflatables, giant twister, face painting, lawn games, live music, concessions and more! Enjoy the escorted ride and meet your family for an afternoon of play at the park.
This ride is a fundraiser for the building campaign of the Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett. Special Needs Schoolf of Gwinnett is a private, not-for-profit school currently serving 60 students with developmental disabilities, who range in age from two years to adult. Many of the school’s past graduates have gone to college, entered the workforce and become productive members of the community. The building program is intended to provide new, state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities for the students, as well as provide additional capacity for more students.
